11. So then, remember that at one time you gentiles by birth, called “the uncircumcision” by those who are called “the circumcision”—a circumcision made in the flesh by human hands—

12. remember that you were at that time without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.

13. But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.

14. For he is our peace; in his flesh he has made both into one and has broken down the dividing wall, that is, the hostility between us,

15. abolishing the law with its commandments and ordinances, that he might create in himself one new humanity in place of the two, thus making peace,

16. and might reconcile both to God in one body through the cross, thus putting to death that hostility through it.

17. So he came and proclaimed peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near,

18. for through him both of us have access in one Spirit to the Father.

19. So then, you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and also members of the household of God,

20. built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the cornerstone;

21. in him the whole structure is joined together and grows into a holy temple in the Lord,

22. in whom you also are built together spiritually into a dwelling place for God.

11. इसलिए याद रखो, वे लोग, जो अपने शरीर में मानव हाथों द्वारा किये गये ख़तने के कारण अपने आपको “ख़तना युक्त” बताते हैं, विधर्मी के रूप में जन्मे तुम लोगों को “ख़तना रहित” कहते थे।

12. उस समय तुम बिना मसीह के थे, तुम इस्राएल की बिरादरी से बाहर थे। परमेश्वर ने अपने भक्तों को जो वचन दिए थे उन पर आधारित वाचा से अनजाने थे। तथा इस संसार में बिना परमेश्वर के निराश जीवन जीते थे।

13. किन्तु अब तुम्हें, जो कभी परमेश्वर से बहुत दूर थे, मसीह के बलिदान के द्वारा मसीह यीशु में तुम्हारी स्थिति के कारण, परमेश्वर के निकट ले आया गया है।

14. यहूदी और ग़ैर यहूदी आपस में एक दूसरे से नफ़रत करते थे और अलग हो गये थे। ठीक ऐसे जैसे उन के बीच कोई दीवार खड़ी हो। किन्तु मसीह ने स्वयं अपनी देह का बलिदान देकर नफ़रत की उस दीवार को गिरा दिया।

15. उसने ऐसा तब किया जब अपने समूचे नियमों और व्यवस्थाओं के विधान को समाप्त कर दिया। उसने ऐसा इसलिए किया कि वह अपने में इन दोनों को ही एक में मिला सकें। और इस प्रकार मिलाप करा दे। क्रूस पर अपनी मृत्यु के द्वारा उसने उस घृणा का अंत कर दिया। और उन दोनों को परमेश्वर के साथ उस एक देह में मिला दिया।

16. और क्रूस पर अपनी मृत्यु के द्वारा बैर भाव का नाश करके एक ही देह में उन दोनों को संयुक्त करके परमेश्वर से फिर मिला दे।

17. सो आकर उसने तुम्हें, जो परमेश्वर से बहुत दूर थे और जो उसके निकट थे, उन्हें शांति का सुसमाचार सुनाया।

18. क्योंकि उसी के द्वारा एक ही आत्मा से परम पिता के पास तक हम दोनों की पहुँच हुई।

19. परिणामस्वरूप अब तुम न अनजान रहे और न ही पराये। बल्कि अब तो तुम संत जनों के स्वदेशी संगी-साथी हो गये हो।

20. तुम एक ऐसा भवन हो जो प्रेरितों और नबियों की नींव पर खड़ा है। तथा स्वयं मसीह यीशु जिसका अत्यन्त महत्त्वपूर्ण कोने का पत्थर है।

22. मसीह में स्थित एक ऐसे स्थान की रचना के रूप में दूसरे लोगों के साथ तुम्हारा भी निर्माण किया जा रहा है, जहाँ आत्मा के द्वारा स्वयं परमेश्वर निवास करता है।

11. ആകയാൽ നിങ്ങൾ മുമ്പെ പ്രകൃതിയാൽ ജാതികളായിരുന്നു; ജഡത്തിൽ കയ്യാലുള്ള പരിച്ഛേദന ഏറ്റു പരിച്ഛേദനക്കാർ എന്നു പേരുള്ളവരാൽ അഗ്രചർമ്മക്കാർ എന്നു വിളിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു;

12. അക്കാലത്തു നിങ്ങൾ ക്രിസ്തുവിനെ കൂടാതെയുള്ളവരും യിസ്രായേൽപൌരതയോടു സംബന്ധമില്ലാത്തവരും വാഗ്ദത്തത്തിന്റെ നിയമങ്ങൾക്കു അന്യരും പ്രത്യാശയില്ലാത്തവരും ലോകത്തിൽ ദൈവമില്ലാത്തവരും ആയിരുന്നു എന്നു ഓർത്തുകൊൾവിൻ.

13. മുമ്പെ ദൂരസ്ഥരായിരുന്ന നിങ്ങൾ ഇപ്പോൾ ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിൽ ക്രിസ്തുവിന്റെ രക്തത്താൽ സമീപസ്ഥരായിത്തീർന്നു.

14. അവൻ നമ്മുടെ സമാധാനം; അവൻ ഇരുപക്ഷത്തെയും ഒന്നാക്കി, ചട്ടങ്ങളും കല്പനകളുമായ ന്യായപ്രമാണം എന്ന ശത്രുത്വം തന്റെ ജഡത്താൽ നീക്കി വേർപ്പാടിന്റെ നടുച്ചുവർ ഇടിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞതു സമാധാനം ഉണ്ടാക്കിക്കൊണ്ടു

15. ഇരുപക്ഷത്തെയും തന്നിൽ ഒരേ പുതുമനുഷ്യനാക്കി സൃഷ്ടിപ്പാനും

16. ക്രൂശിന്മേൽവെച്ചു ശത്രുത്വം ഇല്ലാതാക്കി അതിനാൽ ഇരുപക്ഷത്തെയും ഏകശരീരത്തിൽ ദൈവത്തോടു നിരപ്പിപ്പാനും തന്നേ.

17. അവൻ വന്നു ദൂരത്തായിരുന്ന നിങ്ങൾക്കു സമാധാനവും സമീപത്തുള്ളവർക്കു സമാധാനവും സുവിശേഷിച്ചു.

18. അവൻ മുഖാന്തരം നമുക്കു ഇരുപക്ഷക്കാർക്കും ഏകാത്മാവിനാൽ പിതാവിങ്കലേക്കു പ്രവേശനം ഉണ്ടു.

19. ആകയാൽ നിങ്ങൾ ഇനി അന്യന്മാരും പരദേശികളുമല്ല വിശുദ്ധന്മാരുടെ സഹപൌരന്മാരും ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ഭവനക്കാരുമത്രേ.

20. ക്രിസ്തുയേശു തന്നേ മൂലക്കല്ലായിരിക്കെ നിങ്ങളെ അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാരും പ്രവാചകന്മാരും എന്ന അടിസ്ഥാനത്തിന്മേൽ പണിതിരിക്കുന്നു.

21. അവനിൽ കെട്ടിടം മുഴുവനും യുക്തമായി ചേർന്നു കർത്താവിൽ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരമായി വളരുന്നു.

22. അവനിൽ നിങ്ങളെയും ദൈവത്തിന്റെ നിവാസമാകേണ്ടതിന്നു ആത്മാവിനാൽ ഒന്നിച്ചു പണിതുവരുന്നു.

4. Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice.

5. Let your gentleness be known to everyone. The Lord is near.

6. Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

7. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

8. Finally, beloved, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is pleasing, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

4. प्रभु में सदा आनन्द मनाते रहो। इसे मैं फिर दोहराता हूँ, आनन्द मनाते रहो।

5. तुम्हारी सहनशील आत्मा का ज्ञान सब लोगों को हो। प्रभु पास ही है।

6. किसी बात कि चिंता मत करो, बल्कि हर परिस्थिति में धन्यवाद सहित प्रार्थना और विनय के साथ अपनी याचना परमेश्वर के सामने रखते जाओ।

7. इसी से परमेश्वर की ओर से मिलने वाली शांति, जो समझ से परे है तुम्हारे हृदय और तुम्हारी बुद्धि को मसीह यीशु में सुरक्षित बनाये रखेगी।

8. हे भाईयों, उन बातों का ध्यान करो जो सत्य हैं, जो भव्य है, जो उचित है, जो पवित्र है, जो आनन्द दायी है, जो सराहने योग्य है या कोई भी अन्य गुण या कोई प्रशंसा

4. കർത്താവിൽ എപ്പോഴും സന്തോഷിപ്പിൻ; സന്തോഷിപ്പിൻ എന്നു ഞാൻ പിന്നെയും പറയുന്നു.

5. നിങ്ങളുടെ സൌമ്യത സകല മനുഷ്യരും അറിയട്ടെ; കർത്താവു വരുവാൻ അടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

6. ഒന്നിനെക്കുറിച്ചും വിചാരപ്പെടരുതു; എല്ലാറ്റിലും പ്രാർത്ഥനയാലും അപേക്ഷയാലും നിങ്ങളുടെ ആവശ്യങ്ങൾ സ്തോത്രത്തോടുകൂടെ ദൈവത്തോടു അറിയിക്കയത്രേ വേണ്ടതു.

7. എന്നാൽ സകലബുദ്ധിയേയും കവിയുന്ന ദൈവ സമാധാനം നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയങ്ങളെയും നിനവുകളെയും ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിങ്കൽ കാക്കും.

8. ഒടുവിൽ സഹോദരന്മാരേ, സത്യമായതു ഒക്കെയും ഘനമായതു ഒക്കെയും നീതിയായതു ഒക്കെയും നിർമ്മലമായതു ഒക്കെയും രമ്യമായതു ഒക്കെയും സല്കീർത്തിയായതു ഒക്കെയും സൽഗുണമോ പുകഴ്ചയോ അതു ഒക്കെയും ചിന്തിച്ചുകൊൾവിൻ.

9. എന്നോടു പഠിച്ചും ഗ്രഹിച്ചും കേട്ടും കണ്ടുമുള്ളതു പ്രവർത്തിപ്പിൻ; എന്നാൽ സമാധാനത്തിന്റെ ദൈവം നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ ഇരിക്കും.

29. When he had come near Bethphage and Bethany, at the place called the Mount of Olives, he sent two of the disciples,

30. saying, “Go into the village ahead of you, and as you enter it you will find tied there a colt that has never been ridden. Untie it and bring it here.

31. If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you untying it?’ just say this, ‘The Lord needs it.’”

32. So those who were sent departed and found it as he had told them.

33. As they were untying the colt, its owners asked them, “Why are you untying the colt?”

34. They said, “The Lord needs it.”

35. Then they brought it to Jesus; and after throwing their cloaks on the colt, they set Jesus on it.

36. As he rode along, people kept spreading their cloaks on the road.

37. As he was now approaching the path down from the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to praise God joyfully with a loud voice for all the deeds of power that they had seen,

38. saying, “Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven, and glory in the highest heaven!”

39. Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to him, “Teacher, order your disciples to stop.”

40. He answered, “I tell you, if these were silent, the stones would shout out.” Jesus Weeps over Jerusalem

29. और फिर जब वह बैतफगे और बैतनिय्याह में उस पहाड़ी के निकट पहुँचा जो जैतून की पहाड़ी कहलाती थी तो उसने अपने दो शिष्यों को यह कह कर भेजा,

30. )

31. और यदि कोई तुमसे पूछे तुम इसे क्यों खोल रहे हो, तो तुम्हें उससे यह कहना है, ‘प्रभु को चाहिये।’”

32. फिर जिन्हें भेजा गया था, वे गये और यीशु ने उनको जैसा बताया था, उन्हें वैसा ही मिला।

33. सो जब वे उस गधी के बच्चे को खोल ही रहे थे, उसके स्वामी ने उनसे पूछा, “तुम इस गधी के बच्चे को क्यों खोल रहे हो?”

34. उन्होंने कहा, “यह प्रभु को चाहिये।”

35. फिर वे उसे यीशु के पास ले आये। उन्होंने अपने वस्त्र उस गधी के बच्चे पर डाल दिये और यीशु को उस पर बिठा दिया।

36. जब यीशु जा रहा था तो लोग अपने वस्त्र सड़क पर बिछाते जा रहे थे!

37. और फिर जब वह जैतून की पहाड़ी से तलहटी के पास आया तो शिष्यों की समूची भीड़ उन सभी अद्भुत कार्यो के लिये, जो उन्होंने देखे थे, ऊँचे स्वर में प्रसन्नता के साथ परमेश्वर की स्तुति करने लगी।

38. वे पुकार उठे: “‘धन्य है वह राजा, जो प्रभु के नाम में आता है।’ स्वर्ग में शान्ति हो, और आकाश में परम परमेश्वर की महिमा हो!”

39. भीड़ में खड़े हुए कुछ फरीसियों ने उससे कहा, “गुरु, शिष्यों को मना कर।”

40. सो उसने उत्तर दिया, “मैं तुमसे कहता हूँ यदि ये चुप हो भी जायें तो ये पत्थर चिल्ला उठेंगे।” यीशु का यरूशलेम के लिए रोना

29. അവൻ ഒലീവ് മലയരികെ ബേത്ത്ഫാഗെക്കും ബേഥാന്യെക്കും സമീപിച്ചപ്പോൾ ശിഷ്യന്മാരിൽ രണ്ടുപേരെ അയച്ചു:

30. നിങ്ങൾക്കു എതിരെയുള്ള ഗ്രാമത്തിൽ ചെല്ലുവിൻ; അതിൽ കടക്കുമ്പോൾ ആരും ഒരിക്കലും കയറീട്ടില്ലാത്ത ഒരു കഴുതക്കുട്ടിയെ കെട്ടീയിരിക്കുന്നതു കാണും; അതിനെ അഴിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുവരുവിൻ.

31. അതിനെ അഴിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു ആരെങ്കിലും നിങ്ങളോടു ചോദിച്ചാൽ: കർത്താവിന്നു ഇതിനെക്കൊണ്ടു ആവശ്യം ഉണ്ടു എന്നു പറവിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

32. അയക്കപ്പെട്ടവർ പോയി തങ്ങളോടു പറഞ്ഞതു പോലെ കണ്ടു.

33. കഴുതക്കുട്ടിയെ അഴിക്കുമ്പോൾ അതിന്റെ ഉടയവർ: കഴുതക്കുട്ടിയെ അഴിക്കന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു:

34. കർത്താവിനു ഇതിനെക്കൊണ്ടു ആവശ്യം ഉണ്ടു എന്നു അവർ പറഞ്ഞു.

35. അതിനെ യേശുവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു തങ്ങളുടെ വസ്ത്രം കഴുതക്കുട്ടിമേൽ ഇട്ടു യേശുവിനെ കയറ്റി.

36. അവൻ പോകുമ്പോൾ അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ വസ്ത്രം വഴിയിൽ വിരിച്ചു.

37. അവൻ ഒലീവുമലയുടെ ഇറക്കത്തിന്നു അടുത്തപ്പോൾ ശിഷ്യന്മാരുടെ കൂട്ടം എല്ലാം തങ്ങൾ കണ്ട സകല വീര്യപ്രവൃത്തികളെയും കുറിച്ചു സന്തോഷിച്ചു അത്യുച്ചത്തിൽ ദൈവത്തെ പുകഴ്ത്തി:

38. കർത്താവിന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ വരുന്ന രാജാവു വാഴ്ത്തപ്പെട്ടവൻ; സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ സമാധാനവും അത്യുന്നതങ്ങളിൽ മഹത്വവും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

39. പുരുഷാരത്തിൽ ചില പരീശന്മാരോ അവനോടു: ഗുരോ, നിന്റെ ശീഷ്യന്മാരെ വിലക്കുക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

40. അതിന്നു അവൻ: “ഇവർ മണ്ടാതിരുന്നാൽ കല്ലുകൾ ആർത്തുവിളിക്കും എന്നു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു” എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
